Let’s enjoy Endwalker in good health so we can continue to make Eorzea an inclusive and welcoming place for years to come. There’s no need to rush! Make sure you get enough rest, and please eat regularly. Remember that we have the next couple of years to enjoy this content. With this in mind, please take care of yourself. For many of us, Eorzea is home - a place we can turn to for comfort in this crazy, busy world in which we live. I’m sure quite a few of you know how addicting the game can be – it’s easy to get lost in a world as expansive as Eorzea and spend countless days clearing the variety of content FFXIV has to offer. Although it’s easy to get caught up in the rush of new content, extending a helping hand goes a long way. Let’s continue to provide a warm and welcoming space for those still getting started.
While keeping up with the FFXIV subreddit over the past few months, I’ve noticed countless posts from new players surprised at how supportive and inclusive our community is towards sprouts. Just this year, many prominent WoW content creators tried FFXIV on stream for the first time, influencing an unprecedented number of sprouts to begin their journey in Eorzea. It’s extremely gratifying to observe veterans continue helping new players in countless ways. Since starting this position here at Icy Veins, I’ve developed even more of an appreciation for our game’s wonderful community. Leveling in Shadowbringers was nothing short of incredible - 5.0’s story has been highly praised for being Final Fantasy XIV’s most ambitious and compelling yet, and for good reason! I also loved my raiding experience in 5.0, especially getting the chance to prog Delubrum Reginae with some incredible players! Throughout the past two years, we received a variety of new raid content, including a three-part NieR Alliance series, Delubrum Reginae (the game’s first 48-man Savage encounter), the story-focused Eden series, and The Epic of Alexander (Ultimate)! In addition to battle content, crafters and gatherers saw major quality of life rehauls and received numerous endgame activities, including the Ishgardian Restoration and Skysteel relic tools!Īlthough I’ve been playing since pre-Heavensward, my favorite memories from FFXIV all come from the latest expansion. As we get ready to take our first steps toward the moon in Endwalker, I’d like to take a quick moment to reflect on the impact of Shadowbringers and the recent growth of our amazing community.
